Our Story
A name that means
dawn.
The seaside restaurant of Finikas Hotel · Pyrgaki, Naxos
At the southwestern tip of Naxos, where the road quiets and the Aegean opens wide, sits Avgi — a small restaurant set against Pyrgaki's bay. Our name, Greek for dawn, is a promise: of unhurried hours, of light that softens stone and water, of a table that waits for you to arrive.
The kitchen draws from the island's gardens, fishermen, and herders. Naxian potatoes and graviera, sea bream pulled at first light, herbs that grow on the slope above the dining room — each plate is a quiet conversation with the season.
